Privacy Policy
Effective Date: April 30, 2026
ThriveTable (“we,” “us,” or “our”) is operated by Steph Forsythe. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect your personal information when you visit our website or use our app.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following information when you submit our waitlist or contact forms:
- Name
- Email address
- Your child's age range
- Mealtime challenges and related context
- How you found us
- Optional messages or additional information you choose to provide
- Child profile information including nickname, age range, food preferences, and feeding notes provided during onboarding
- Usage activity, including when you last accessed the app and which features you use, so we can understand engagement patterns and improve the product
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information you provide to:
- Notify you when ThriveTable launches
- Inform the content, features, and resources we build
- Respond to your inquiries and support requests
- Improve our app and services
- To personalize AI Companion responses based on your child's specific profile, preferences, and feeding history
We do not use your information for automated decision-making or profiling.
When you join our waitlist, you consent to receive email updates about ThriveTable's launch and related news. You may unsubscribe at any time by clicking the unsubscribe link in any email or by contacting us at info@mythrivetable.com.
3. AI-Powered Features
ThriveTable uses Claude AI, developed by Anthropic, to power our ThriveTable Companion feature. When you ask the Companion a question, your message is sent to Anthropic to generate a response, and we also process it to extract an anonymized topic label (such as a general subject category like “Picky Eating” or “Sensory Processing”).
On our side, only the anonymized topic label is saved — we do not store the content of your messages or the Companion's replies in our own databases. We use these topic labels solely to understand which feeding topics parents care about most, so we can keep building the right content.
Anthropic, our AI service provider, may retain message content in their systems for a limited period under their standard data retention policy — please see Anthropic's Privacy Policy for details. Anthropic does not use this content to train their AI models.
AI responses are generated automatically and are for informational and educational purposes only. They do not constitute medical, therapeutic, or professional advice.
4. Medical Disclaimer
ThriveTable provides general pediatric feeding therapy information and strategies created by a licensed occupational therapist. The content in this app is intended for educational and informational purposes only and does not constitute medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment.
ThriveTable is not a substitute for professional medical advice from your child's healthcare provider. Always consult a qualified healthcare professional before making changes to your child's feeding approach, especially if your child has medical conditions affecting feeding, swallowing, or nutrition.
If you have concerns about your child's health or development, please consult your pediatrician or a qualified feeding therapist.
5. Data Storage and Security
Your data is stored securely using Google Firebase (Firestore), a cloud database service provided by Google. We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, loss, or disclosure.
6. Third-Party Services
We work with the following third-party service providers, each of which processes data according to their own privacy policies:
- Google Firebase — Database and hosting services
- Stripe — Payment processing
- Anthropic — AI-powered features (Claude)
7. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties. We may share data with our service providers solely to operate and improve ThriveTable. We may also disclose data as required by applicable law.
8. Your Rights
You have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data. To exercise any of these rights, email us at info@mythrivetable.com. We will respond within 30 days.
9. Cookies
We use essential cookies only, which are necessary for the basic functioning of our website. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
10. Children's Privacy (COPPA)
ThriveTable is designed for parents and caregivers of children. Our app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children under 13.
Parents and caregivers may enter information about their children (such as nicknames, age ranges, and food preferences) as part of setting up their family profile. This information is stored securely, used only to personalize the app experience, and is never shared with third parties or used for advertising purposes.
If you believe we have inadvertently collected information from a child under 13 without parental consent, please contact us immediately at info@mythrivetable.com and we will delete it promptly.
11. Account Deletion and Data Removal
You have the right to delete your ThriveTable account and all associated data at any time.
To delete your account:
- Open ThriveTable on your device
- Go to Profile → Delete my account
- Follow the confirmation steps
When you delete your account, we permanently remove:
- Your account credentials and profile information
- Your child profile data (nicknames, age ranges, food preferences)
- Your listening history and progress
- Your wins and journal entries
- All personalization data
Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. If you have an active subscription, please cancel it through the App Store before deleting your account to avoid future charges.
For assistance with account deletion, contact us at info@mythrivetable.com.
12. Your Rights (GDPR)
If you are located in the European Economic Area (EEA), you have the following rights regarding your personal data:
- Right to access — request a copy of your personal data
- Right to rectification — request correction of inaccurate data
- Right to erasure — request deletion of your data (see Account Deletion above)
- Right to restrict processing — request we limit how we use your data
- Right to data portability — request your data in a portable format

To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@mythrivetable.com. We will respond within 30 days.
13. Your Rights (CCPA — California Residents)
If you are a California resident, the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA) gives you specific rights regarding your personal information. This section describes those rights and how to exercise them.
Categories of personal information we collect
In the past 12 months (or since we launched, whichever is shorter), we have collected the following categories of personal information from California residents:
- Identifiers (name, email address)
- Customer records (child profile information you provide)
- Internet activity (usage activity within our app)
- Commercial information (subscription and payment data, processed by Stripe)
We do not collect biometric information, geolocation data, sensory data, professional information, education information, or inferences drawn from any of the above.
Sources of personal information
We collect this information directly from you when you sign up, complete onboarding, use our app, or contact us.
Business purposes for collection
We use this information to provide our service, personalize your experience, respond to your inquiries, process payments, and improve the product — as detailed in §2 above.
Categories of third parties we share with
As detailed in §6, we share data with our service providers (Google Firebase, Stripe, and Anthropic) to operate the service. We do not share personal information with third parties for their own marketing or commercial purposes.
Sale of personal information
We do not sell your personal information, and we have not sold personal information in the past 12 months. We do not have a “Do Not Sell My Personal Information” link because we do not sell information.
Sensitive personal information
We do not collect “sensitive personal information” as defined under CCPA/CPRA, which includes things like government identifiers, precise geolocation, racial or ethnic origin, biometric data, or health diagnoses. The general feeding-related information you provide as part of your child's profile is not sensitive personal information under this definition.
Your California rights
As a California resident, you have the following rights:
- Right to know — request information about what personal information we collect, use, and share
- Right to delete — request deletion of your personal information (see §11 Account Deletion)
- Right to correct — request correction of inaccurate personal information
- Right to opt-out of sale — not applicable to us, as we do not sell personal information
- Right to non-discrimination — we will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights, including by denying service, charging different prices, or providing a different level of service
How to exercise your rights
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at info@mythrivetable.com. We will respond within 30 days. In limited circumstances, we may need an additional 45 days to fully respond, and we will let you know if that's necessary.
We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request. For most requests, we will verify by sending a confirmation to the email address associated with your account. For deletion requests, the most secure path is to delete your account directly from within the app (Profile → Delete my account), which automatically authenticates you.
Authorized agents
You may authorize an agent to make a request on your behalf. We will require written verification of the agent's authority and may require you to verify your identity directly with us before fulfilling the request.
14. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by updating the effective date above. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
